 There is no religious basis for Hinduism. The Brahmins were an ethnic group of people that entered what is now India from Persia. They are credited with the creation of the civilization that bears their name. In order to ensure their continued dominance over the area, they instituted a system of social control known as casteism and relegated the indigenous people of the land to inferior social classes. The Brahmins were not indigenous to India but rather invaders who originated in Persia. The Brahmins, who lived in what is now Iran, are credited with developing polytheism as a means of assimilating the gods of many ethnic groups and religious traditions into Hinduism. The tribal disputes that were taking place at the time among the various tribes were assisted to be resolved as a result of this procedure. Further contributing to its demise in India was the fact that at the time Buddhism was widely practiced over the whole peninsula. This made it an especially difficult religion to defend. The people who are responsible for the eradication of Buddhism today claim that Buddha was a Hindu divinity. Gautama Buddha is regarded as the ninth reincarnation of the Hindu deity Vishnu by adherents of the Hindu religion. The practice of Brahmanism involves taking in everything.

The Brahmins adhered to the notion that everything should be absorbed into oneself.
